Logitech K800 vs MX800

Both Logitech K800 and Logitech MX800 are backlit wireless keyboards. If you want to be able to use a keyboard in a dim or darkened room comfortably, you need a backlit keyboard. Using a regular non-backlit keyboard in a dark room is just next to impossible. However, Logitech MX800 is more expensive than Logitech K800. So, why is the price difference? This is an awesome mouse. It has a sculpted right-handed shape with ergonomic curves that feel very nice in the hand. The rubber grip surface is textured to enhance the handling and comfort. The mouse features three additional buttons that are easily reachable by the thumb, whereas the scroll wheel has the same feature as many other Logitech mice. It can be shifted in horizontal directions for horizontal scrolls. All of the buttons are programmable using the Logitech software.

Keyboard Design

Logitech K800 is a little bit slimmer and more compact. The dimensions are 18.4 inches x 8.2 inches x 2.3 inches. It features a thin profile with a clear edge. On the other hand, Logitech MX800 is a little bit bigger and thicker as the dimensions are 18.2 inches x 7.9 inches x 3.1 inches.

Both of these two keyboard feature laser-etched backlit keys. They look very elegant. The keys are not entirely white, there are some orange touches so that the keyboard does not look so plain and boring. In addition, the backlighting system is intelligent. It can automatically detect the lighting condition in the environment and adjust the brightness accordingly. These keyboards can also turn on and off the backlights according to the proximity of your hands.

Both Logitech K800 and Logitech MX800 keyboards have the whisper-quiet PerfectStroke key system. The keys curve slightly, making them feel very nice for typing.

Both Logitech K800 and Logitech MX800 connect to your computer using the Logitech Unifying Receiver. There are some minor differences in terms of size, but you should choose Logitech MX800 if you would like to get the MX Performance mouse. It is suitable for a variety of tasks, since the buttons are programmable. However, if you prefer to use a different mouse, you should choose Logitech K800.
