OBD2 scanner devices have become very popular items for mechanics and dedicated car owners. The OBD2, which stands for Onboard Diagnostics II, is a standardized system that has been implemented in a wide range of cars and trucks, used by the onboard computer in the car for self diagnostic and reporting. Since OBD2 systems use the same communication protocols, codes, and connectors, it has become so much easier for car owners and mechanics to analyze a problem in a car. Brands are no longer a huge issue like before. Now, if you are looking for an OBD2 scanner as a companion for your car’s well-being, you are most probably considering either Launch X431 VII+ and Launch CRP123 right now. Which is the model that you should choose?

If you put the two models side by side, you may see them as two very different things due to the colors. However, the looks are just the biggest difference between these two models. Launch X431 VII+ is black in color, whereas Launch CRP123 has a red body and a black center panel. Other than the colors, the two are very similar.
