Functions, features, and specifications of the two products are also the same. Each model has a maximum resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi for monochrome printing and 4800 x 1200 dpi for color printing. The printing speeds are also the same; 18 ISO ppm for monochrome printing and 10 ISO ppm for color printing. The scanner of each model has an optical resolution of 1200 x 1200 ppi, with 8-bit grayscale depth and 24-bit color depth. HP OfficeJet Pro 6830 and HP OfficeJet Pro 6835 are able to produce up to 99 copies from a single document, with a digital zoom from 25% to 400%. What is so cool of these products is that they have integrated OCR software that can automatically convert scanned text into editable digital text!

For faxing, each model has a maximum memory of 100 pages, with a maximum resolution of 300 x 300 dpi (black-and-white) or 200 x 200 dpi (color), and up to 99 phone book contacts. Both models support Ethernet, USB, and Wi-Fi connections, allowing for flexible and versatile connectivity with various devices. They are also compatible with wireless and mobile printing apps like HP ePrint and AirPrint.

The Difference
The only difference is, well, the name, which is used by HP to distinguish the products being sold through regular routes and the ones being sold by Costco. HP OfficeJet Pro 6835 is sold by Costco. Sometimes, it also comes along with a USB cable in the bundle. Some users also stated that HP OfficeJet Pro 6835 seems to be newer than HP OfficeJet Pro 6830.

Though theoretically you are free to choose between HP OfficeJet Pro 6830 and HP OfficeJet Pro 6835, we recommend you to choose HP OfficeJet Pro 6835. It comes with the USB cable, and has newer internal components, making it more convenient in usage.
