You are now looking for an affordable all-in-one printer that will not break the bank. Either you need it to aid you to print your school assignments or to get some work done from home, no matter how limited your budget is, you still want the printer to be reliable enough not to cause you any additional stress. For such need, HP has released the HP Envy printer series. There are two HP Envy models available in the price range of sub one hundred dollars: HP Envy 5660 and HP Envy 4520. Usually, HP Envy 5560 is priced a little bit higher over HP Envy 4520. So, which one should you go with?
Design
If size is quite a factor for you to consider, then HP Envy 4520 can be a better model for you. This printer is quite smaller and more compact compared to HP Envy 5560. It comes with a distinctive design; it is very low and slim that you can easily put it on some spare space available on your desk or shelf. On the other hand, HP Envy 5560 is relatively bulkier by a couple of inches or so. Of course, with the larger body, comes larger paper capacity. Whereas HP Envy 4520 only has a 100-sheet input tray and a 25-sheet output tray, HP Envy 5560 has been equipped with a 125-sheet standard input tray and a separate 15-sheet photo tray. The output tray capacity is still 25-sheet. In addition, HP Envy 5560 comes with a 2.65-inch color touchscreen, which promotes very quick and intuitive access to the various functions and features available on the printer.

Performance
Both models have incorporated the functionalities of a printer, scanner, and copier. In general, HP Envy 5560 indeed offers faster performance than HP Envy 4520. HP Envy 4520 is only able to print at 9.5 ISO ppm for black, 6.8 ISO ppm for color. HP Envy 5560, on the other hand, is much faster. It is able to print at 14 ISO ppm for black, 9 ppm for color. The difference is real. When you are about to hit the deadline in few hours and you need to print hundreds of pages quickly, you will certainly value HP Envy 5560’s speed. Each of the two models comes with a 1200 dpi flatbed scanner, which should be sufficient to digitalize documents and small photographs in high-quality settings.
HP Envy 5660 vs 4520
Considering that the price difference between these two models is not very significant, we recommend you to choose HP Envy 5560. It offers much faster printing speeds, and it comes with a fancy color touchscreen control. However, if you really need something that is more compact, you can choose HP Envy 4520.
