Shopping for a Printer

Comparing digital files and those we can physically touch or modify, we are sure most people will prefer to just use paper as their medium to write and to draw because it is traditionally easier, probably because we are more used to it. In addition, transferring files into a physical form be it just images or texts on top of a piece of paper or literally printing an object through a 3D printer, makes the experience feel real.

This is why printers are still very high on demand today despite lots of people having a sharing network and carrying their laptop or tablet, and smart devices everywhere. The problem is how to choose the perfect printer for our application because you will be facing lots of choices out there and not all of us will have the same preference then make the same decision. At least, it is better to shop based on what you need from the tool and not based on price or bells and whistles.

  • Printer Brand

This might be the most common question about printers to let you get the perfect option but not necessarily important today since in general all of them are very much similar to each other on built quality for chances, the products we have are manufactured in the same country. However, we do recommend getting from well-known companies due to factors like serviceability, cartridge availability, and how easy it is to find their service center in case there is something wrong about our product.

  • Printer Type

This is one of the most important parts to consider because not all printers are made to be the same. In general there are inkjet and laser printer but may separated into further types because an all-in-one printer which is the most popular as well as the most convenient is an inkjet too but, they have various functions built in the unit while an inkjet is a single printer, it does nothing else but printing in either black or colors.

Laser printer is the opposite, it is printing in black only and essentially very similar to a photocopier which makes it a great choice if what you do is printing texts and black only with additional benefit of cost efficient for they are cheaper on the ink supply. Lastly we have a photo printer which is optimized for photo printing so you can get those highly contrast, glossy finish.

  • Printer Ink

This is what most of our budget will go and deciding the brand will also decide the ink option because the price will vary greatly here as well. The best choice should be cost efficient but works great on your paper, so knowing the supply, price, and how many output we can get on each buy will help we save quite the amount over prolonged usage. About HP Deskjet 3755 and 3752

Now when you already have an image on how the printer should be, we can start checking what the market has to offer because there are tons of them and in most cases, these printers are very similar to each other, making it even more difficult to decide which to go with. However, consider what you need from the unit first and then we can go work down the option from the unit’s capability or if you want to be convenient, pick one brand and see their models.

Among those many giant companies that are well-known for their printers, HP is one of the most popular options to shop from. We personally use their printer at home and have been satisfied with their quality because compared to many, their performance is very reliable not only for the high-end models but for their entry-level choices as well. Depending on your needs, they have printer only models or those integrated with various functions like all-in-one printer and as for ink price, they are not cheap but not extremely expensive as well.

For those who are going to use the printer to scan and copy documents, HP Deskjet 3755 and 3752 will be two of the most ideal models to consider. Both of them are close brothers and hence what you can find on one model will most likely present on the other as well yet in general, higher product usually are coming improved on some parts but again, it is not always the case with printer because these two are working equally reliable for different functions.

HP Deskjet 3755 and 3752 Design

One of our biggest pros of these inkjet all-in-one printers is their size because if usually a similar printer will occupy at least about 12 by 16 inches of your desk, these two are about half of it in terms of depth. Taken out of the box, these printers are very compact measured about 15.9-inch wide, 7-inch deep, and 6.6-inch tall with a weight around 5 lbs. They are also pretty and come in a few different colors for the 3755 model such as blue and its subtler option seagrass.

If you prefer basic fashion, white is the go-to for most users. They are made from hard plastic and have this smooth shiny finish to it. As you can see in the sample picture above, they are a top load type which means the paper is loaded from the top slot and unlike our common scanner, they will scan documents as it glides through the sensor which makes cuts mostly on the depth. Additionally they have identical control panels at the top with a small display and several buttons.

HP Deskjet 3755 and 3752 Printing and Copying

Moving further, now let’s see what HP Deskjet 3755 and 3752 are offering but before that, cutting short these printers are exactly the same to each other and what the former can do, the latter will be able to do it as well. Starting with the printing capability, you can print both black/white or color pages with these two and each tray will hold about 60 A4 papers while the speed is clocking the same at up to 19 ppm for black/white drafts.

For color drafts, they will be around 15 ppm and for the ISO option, they will deliver 8 and 5 and half pages black/white and color respectively. None of them offer faxing functions but you can scan pages and save them on the computer or print them directly by copying the document. There are two settings to choose through the physical button; black/white or color copying that can produce up to 4 ppm for the black/white ISO. As for the output tray, it is recommended to not put more than 25 pages on it.

Our only complaint is their copying feature because here you have to put the pages one by one and for lots of documents, it can be inconvenient compared to copying machines that can process pages after pages quickly.

HP Deskjet 3755 and 3752 Connectivity

The next point we want to talk about is their convenient and it relates to their connectivity but even here HP Deskjet 3755 and 3752 are still the same because beside being connected to computer with USB cable, you can also print wirelessly using your smart device such as smartphone both iPhone and Android; we can use Apple AirPrint or HP ePrint as needed to conveniently print documents without having to open your computer/laptop. You can activate their Wi-Fi function by pressing the dedicated button on their control panel.

When tested to print one page, these models are very quick and once your phone detects the printer, sends the document to be printer, there is no waiting time here, the machine will start printing and in a few seconds our paper is done.

HP Deskjet 3755 and 3752 Ink

The last point is their ink and this is probably what cost the most for regular user with a certain regularity on printing but beside the standard HP Original ink which will cost you around $15.89 for 120 black/white pages and $16.89 for 100 color pages, we also have the HP Instant Ink as an option. This is almost like a subscription in which rather than buying everytime we finish the cartridge, now we can be more convenient based on our monthly ink consumption.

HP Deskjet 3755 vs 3752

As it has been mentioned above, HP Deskjet 3755 and 3752 are the same because everything we can get from the previous model will also made able on the latter. They are equally compact, capable of decent printing with an acceptable speed, as well as working with wireless printing system from your smart device. They are not very good for photos but for black/white or colored documents, these printers are working very well.

- Limited time offer
- Main functions of this HP DeskJet 3755 (3700 series) compact printer
- Mobile printing
- Compact and wireless
Print, Scan, Copy
- Up to 8 ppm print speed black
- 50 to 200 page volume
- Quickly print right from your mobile devices

Conclusion

All in all you can pick any of these options but our recommendation is to get the Deskjet 3755 because this is the same printer with the same capabilities and you will save more for the latter is almost two times pricier.
