When on the go, people sometimes snap a picture of an important document using a smartphone because they don’t have a scanner available. However, taking a picture does not always yield a good result. Design and Dimension

It is shaped like a stick so that you can easily slip it into the corner of your bag.

On the other hand, Doxie Go measures 10.5” x 1.7” x 2.2”. As you can see, it is quite wide and thick, and the shape makes it rather awkward to slip into the spare space in your bag. Unlike Fujitsu Scansnap S1100i, which is black, Doxie Go’s outer sides are white while the front is black.

Connectivity
There is an important thing that you have to consider when choosing between Fujitsu Scansnap S1100ivsDoxie Go, which is the connectivity. If you don’t need wireless connectivity, Fujitsu Scansnap S1100i is a fine choice. It does not have any built-in wireless connectivity. It needs to connect to your laptop via USB.

If you want to be able to scan directly into your mobile device, you should choose Doxie Go. This portable scanner has built-in Wi-Fi. It can connect wirelessly to your laptop, tablet, and smartphone. Of course, in order to work wirelessly, it needs a rechargeable battery. Its battery can last for scanning up to 300 pages per charge.

Memory
Note that Fujitsu Scansnap S1100i comes with neither an internal memory nor a memory card slot. As the effect, this scanner relies completely on your laptop in order to work. On the other hand, Doxie Go has an internal memory, so it can scan without connecting to any device – it will save the results in its internal memory. There is a memory card slot to expand the capacity.

Performance
Both scanners here are able to scan documents into editable text or spreadsheet digital files, thanks to their OCR software. Both models also have the same maximum resolution, which is 600 dpi. However, Fujitsu Scansnap S1100i is slightly slower at 7.5 seconds per page. Doxie Go is faster at 10 seconds per page.

Conclusion
In the end, Doxie Go is the definitely the winner. This is a better value for the money, as it comes with built-in Wi-Fi, an internal memory, and even a memory card. The scan quality is also very good. Both scanners are able to convert the scanned documents into editable text/spreadsheet files.
