There are lots of scanners available on the market, but finding one that is able to scan pictures and photographs satisfyingly is not easy. Design and Features
Although they came from the same series, they do have slightly different designs. Epson V370 is comparably more compact and lightweight. The smaller form factor is beneficial if you have very limited space available on your work desk. Epson V370’s lid flips open to the right side, and the function buttons are on the right corner of the front panel. The lid is able to flip up to 180 degrees so that you can easily scan large and thick objects like notebooks and photo albums. In addition, the model also comes with a built-in transparency unit that allows you to scan 35mm films and slides. On the other hand, Epson V600 is quite thicker and bulkier. The lid flips vertically, also up to 180 degrees. It comes with four customizable function buttons that are put in the middle of the front panel, along with the Power and Error light indicators. It comes with a transparency adapter that supports 35mm films and slides, as well as medium format strips.
Both models come with the Easy Photo Fix feature, which allows you to restore faded colors on pictures. However, only Epson V600 that has the Digital ICE technology. With this feature, you can remove the appearance of dust particles, scratches, and tears from films and photographs. Also, Epson V600 comes with a more powerful and reliable OCR software for immediate conversion of scanned documents into editable text.

Output Quality
Another thing to consider is the scanners’ optical resolutions. Epson V370 comes with 4800 x 9600 dpi optical resolution, which is actually already high enough to deliver sharp, crisp, and detailed images. However, for the ultimate quality, you may prefer Epson V600, which offers 6400 x 9600 dpi optical resolution. With it, you can create extraordinary enlargements from films and slides.

If you can benefit from the powerful OCR software and high optical resolution, then you can choose Epson V600. It makes the best choice for professional purposes. However, if you don’t need the OCR and the ultra-high resolution settings, you can save some bucks with Epson V370.
