Epson V19 vs V39

Are you looking for a specialized scanner for scanning photos with a top-class performance but with an affordable price? You need to take a look at Epson V19 and Epson V39. These two products come from the Epson Perfection series, and the two are both relatively budget-friendly. Despite the popularity of both models, they are also being priced a little bit differently from each other, with Epson V39 standing slightly higher above Epson V19 on the price ladder. Epson V19 and Epson V39 indeed look very identical to each other. They are of the same size and weight; each measures 9.9” W x 14.4” D x 1.5” H and weighs 3.4 lb. As you can see, Epson V19 and Epson V39 are very compact and lightweight scanner. You can easily place either model on your desk without eating away too much space. Furthermore, these flatbed scanners also share a similar layout. The top lid opens up so that you can put your photo or document on the scanner surface. The function and control buttons are placed on the front panel. The maximum scan area is 11.7” x 8.5”. They connect to your computer via USB 2.0, but feature built-in wireless connectivity for direct online upload to Facebook.

Epson V19 and Epson V39 each is armed with three-color RGB LEDs as the light source and a Contact Image Sensor (CIS) type optical sensor with 4800 dpi optical resolution. Both models are able to scan with high quality, with grayscale bit depth of 16-bit per pixel internal, 8-bit per pixel external and color bit depth of 48-bit per pixel internal, 24-bit per pixel external. They deliver exceptional results; they are able to capture the subtlest details in the images as well as reproducing accurate and solid colors. They also have similar scanning speeds; at 300 dpi setting, they scan in approximately 10 seconds, while at 600 dpi setting they scan in about 30 seconds.

Additional Features
As mentioned briefly above, Epson V19 and Epson V39 both have the built-in functionality to perform a direct upload to Facebook. However, Epson V39 also offers the scan-to-cloud functionality using the Document Capture Pro software which is available via download. Most importantly, Epson V39 also has the Arcsoft Scan-n-Stitch software for Windows. Through the software, you will be able to scan oversized documents by performing multiple scanning processes and the device will then merge all the images into one.
