Epson has tried to fulfil the needs of a great photo scanner by introducing their Epson Perfection series, a line of photo scanner products that are aimed at serious photographers, from the amateur to the professional. Well, a lot of people have come across Epson Perfection V600 and Epson Perfection V700, and got confused by these two products. Epson Perfection V600 vs. V700

Both products focus on being photo scanners, but they have put some stakes so that they can be considered as all-purpose scanners as well. Both models support up to 12,800 dpi resolution, but Epson Perfection V700 is more versatile by having a selectable optical resolution between 4800 dpi and 6400 dpi. Epson Perfection V700 also works nearly twice faster than Epson Perfection V600.

Both models support the Digital ICE technology, which helps to eliminate dust and scratch from a photo or film. You can now easily convert your old pics into high-quality digital files. However, Epson Perfection V700 can last longer than Epson Perfection V600. It has 100,000 MCBF cycles, as opposed to Epson Perfection V600’s 30,000 MCBF cycles. Last but not least, Epson Perfection V700 is slightly bulkier and heavier than Epson Perfection V600.

Epson Perfection V600 vs. V700
Epson Perfection V700 has some more versatility over Epson Perfection V600. It is also supposedly more reliable for long-term usage. Even so, its multiplicatively higher price can be a concern. Thus, for the fullest value out of your money, you will find Epson Perfection V600 to be excellent already. Otherwise, if you don’t mind the price increment, Epson Perfection V700 is great!
