The ink cartridges are on the smaller side, but this printer is not intended for high volume throughput. You will go through the gloss optimizer fairly quickly on certain paper. However, because the high definition printing, it guzzles ink which makes ink runs out faster than usual so you have to prepare for ink to run out after just a few small print runs. EPSON P400 VS XP 15000
Epson XP 15000 is indeed much cheaper than Epson P400 but it has smaller ink capacity and it runs out of ink quickly which can be inconvenient.
