These two products are both 23” display monitors, standing in a similar price range. So, should you go with Dell S2340M or Dell U2312HM? Design
Even though both are 23” monitors, these two models have been designed a little bit differently. If you put the two side by side, you may notice Dell U2312HM be slightly shorter. Performance
Dell S2340M and Dell U2312HM are both 1920 x 1080. Each of their pixels has three subpixels, and this technology allows for incredibly sharp and crisp images. They also have similar contrast ratio. They have rich and dynamic colors. Dell U2312HM’s colors may appear slightly more vibrant and vivid due to the monitor delivering a higher luminance intensity. However, Dell S2340M offers better response time. While Dell U2312HM has 8 ms response time, Dell S2340M has 7 ms response time. On paper, Dell S2340M is slightly more powerful for handling fast-changing images and demanding applications, but the difference is hardly noticeable.

Connectivity
Finally, we are going to compare the connectivity. Dell S2340M is quite versatile, having a VGA port and a DVI-D (HDCP) port for connectivity.
