Canon Pixma Pro-100 vs. Epson Artisan 1430

Epson Artisan 1430 and Canon Pixma pro-100 are both 13-inch dye ink printers.

The Pro-100 produces quality colored prints however since it uses dye inks, the photos are bound to fade with time. Epson Artisan 1430 are also of good quality and are fade resistant. Epson Artisan 1430 prints faster compared to Pro-100. However, Canon cannot handle a thick sheet.
Canon PIXMA PRO-100 does not print 11×14 borderless printing. It also has several black cartridges.

Epson Artisan 1430, on the other hand, supports 11×14 borderless printing but has a single black cartridge. With this Epson Artisan, 1430 is the better alternative when printing with 11×14 printing since the 13×19 which the Canon Pixma Pro-100 are $20 more expensive. However, Canon Pixma Pro-100 is excellent with black and white printing has it has several black cartridges.

The Epson Artisan 1430, does not have the gray inks required for detailed black-and-white prints, its ink run at $1.95 per ml, which quite expensive. It has a high operational cost. Epson Artisan 1430 has a problem with the paper feed. Paper feed fails after some time while it does not fail with Canon Pixma Pro-100.

Epson printers same as Epson Artisan 1430 have to be regularly used; otherwise, printhead might clog permanently. Canon Pixma Pro-100, the Canon dye ink do not do that. The printer can lie idle for several months and still be in good condition and deliver excellent output when used.
