Canon MG7720 vs MX922

Are you confused in choosing between Canon MG7720 and Canon MX922? These two products are both all-in-one wireless printers available at affordable and budget-friendly price points. You can get one out of these two printers with a budget around a hundred bucks. Nevertheless, Canon MG7720 is only a little bit pricier than Canon MX922. Design and Features
Both models appear premium and classy. They both have a glossy finish that enhances their looks. Nevertheless, Canon MG7720 comes with a completely black body. The model is also a little bit thicker and bulkier to the sides. On the other hand, Canon MX922 is indeed kind of fat and thick, but it is actually more compact to the sides so that it does not require as much surface area. On Canon MG7720, you can find a wide 3.5-inch touchscreen that promotes easy and intuitive control. The touchscreen control is very practical. The paper tray consists of a lower cassette that can load 125 sheets of plain paper, and an upper cassette that can hold 20 sheets of 4” x 6” photo paper or 10 sheets of 5” x 7” photo paper. On the other hand, Canon MX922 only features a 3.0-inch display screen with button control, but it has a bigger sheet capacity. It can hold up to 250 sheets of plain paper in the lower cassette, while the upper cassette’s capacity is similar.

Both models are wireless printers with built-in Wi-Fi, allowing for mobile printing and integration with AirPrint and Google Cloud Print. However, Canon MG7720 also allows you to print from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Dropbox. It also has memory card slots, in addition to the USB and Ethernet ports.

Performance
Quite interestingly, these two printers have similar printing resolution. They both are able to print up to 9600 x 2400 dpi images in color printing, so they are viable even for professional photos. They are also able to print at similar speeds. They can print at 15 ISO ppm in black printing, 10 ISO ppm in color printing. However, Canon MG7720 actually has better color depth than Canon MX922. This is because Canon MG7720 is utilizing six smudge-resistant professional quality inks, as opposed to Canon MX922’s five-ink system. The colors are deeper, more accurate, and more vivid.

If you need the memory card slot or the improved color quality, then you can go with Canon MG7720. Otherwise, Canon MX922 makes the fullest value for the money.
