Canon MG7520 and Canon MG7720 are two wireless all-in-one printers that make excellent choices for a limited budget. Despite their affordable nature, they make no joke in quality. They both are capable of delivering print jobs with excellent quality and speed. They also have various built-in functions and features that greatly increase their value. Howsoever, Canon MG7720 is actually an update model for Canon MG7520, hence the slightly higher price. So, which is the model that you should get?
Design and Features
In terms of design, Canon MG7520 and Canon MG7720 are very much identical. The two models still share the same overall sizes and weights. Well, Canon MG7720 is available with black, white, red, or golden color. Canon MG7520 is only available in black, white, and burnt orange. On the front side of each model, you can find a high-res color touchscreen that offers easy and quick control access. The menu has been designed for intuitive and practical operation. On the top side, you can find the scanner which also functions for copying and faxing. The optical resolution is 2400 x 4800 dpi, and the maximum document size is 8.5” x 11.7”. Nevertheless, Canon MG7720 has received an additional feature of a smart LED light on each ink tank that indicates whether the tank has been installed correctly or not. In addition, with Canon MG7720, you will be able to print photos from Instagram and other social media directly.
Performance
Many things are identical between Canon MG7520 and Canon MG7720. They have similar printing speed of 15 ipm for black-and-white printing, 10 ipm for color printing. Their maximum print resolution is 9600 x 2400. However, Canon MG7720 has been updated with new inks that promote the output quality. The print results now have fuller and more solid colors.
